Fundraising For Sophie

Here at Suffolk Clinic we are busy keeping everyone on track with their marathon training, ready for the London Marathon! Especially Sophie Meszar who is running the marathon for two charities; Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel. Sophie completed work experience at Suffolk Clinic before going to university to train as a physiotherapist. We have a collection tin for her in the clinic, so any loose change is more than welcome!

Fundraising For Sophie

At 48 my mum was too young to have her first NHS mammogram, but was lucky enough to be breast aware, she found a lump and wasted no time getting checked out. In 2011 she was given the shattering diagnosis of Stage 3 breast cancer. My mum was unbelievable, tackling everyday like a walk in the park. She had her breast removed, then chemo, radio and specialist target therapies later, she was told the good news she was in remission. She was clear for 5 years, then we got the shattering news something unusual had been found in her other breast. This time the cancer had been caught early enough that no other treatment apart from a mastectomy was needed. The treatment and early diagnosis has improved so much. The two charities I am running this year’s marathon for are very close to my heart.

Acupuncture Services in Coventry

Here at Suffolk clinic we offer three different types of acupuncture; medical acupuncture, traditional acupuncture and dry needling. Medical acupuncture is used mainly used for pain relief and to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. Tradition acupuncture is based on ancient principles, it used fine needles on certain points of the body to balance the flow on vital energy and restore the body's equilibrium. Dry needling treats mainly myofascial pain, the acupuncture needles are inserted into trigger points in the muscles to help relieve pain.
